Light Meter - lux and foot candle measurement tool App Reviews

I purchased this app to compare illumination levels in my home. Since I wanted to compare lighting levels in different areas rather than know the specific lux/foot candle illumination values I cant attest to its accuracy. While the app is simple to use I will note that on an IPad 3 (IOS 9) using the back camera resulted in readings approximately 3 times higher than those registered using the front facing camera. Given the larger lens opening I can understand why but which value is correct? Also, the app got set to "outdoor" at one point and the only way I could get back to the "indoor" setting was to delete it and reinstall. It would be helpful to have a better way to clear values once a reading has been taken as the current method doesnt seem to work all that well.

I am extremely pleased with this application. This is a app you really need to measure light intensity. Interface and design are so simple, makes this app easy to use, with features as realtime measurements, Indoor and outdoor modes. This is great application. It works very well, I will share with friends use.

This app is great but is very reliant on the camera of the device you are using. For example, if your iphone camera is broken, then this app will have some errors due to the cracks.

Performs as expected for taking light level readings however is not precise enough for professional use. Has trouble with readings at lower light levels.

This has helped me check levels of light for safety. I can now be sure that my working environment is bright enough.

This apps is seriously amazing apps. It can be use to measure light. It can be set either inside or outside mode. When i use this apps, i feel like i am a profesional. Very unique apps. Just shutup and take my money.

Really cool app to monitor your blue light levels in the hours before bed. Didnt find any use for the outdoor function yet but its fun to play with it!

App is not that accurate and gives erratic results.

Does not compare at all to a professional light meter. Its off by about 200-300 lux. NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!

How can I get my money back?! Cannot clear avg nor max. Wont switch front to back nor indoor to outdoor. Have tried it on my iPhone 4s and my iPad Mini 4. Tried reinstall of the app and even rebooting both. Crap app!
